A. Diggie Hernandez
Principal Attorney
Headquarters: Washington, DC
Bio: Hi! I focus on helping businesses and families protect what matters most. My goal is to make the legal process approachable—especially for people who may be engaging with it for the first time—and to ensure every client feels respected, informed, and empowered.
My introduction to the law began after college, when I took my first job at a boutique elder law firm and fell in love with estate planning and Medicaid crisis planning. That early experience shaped my commitment to helping people protect their loved ones, their assets, and their legacies.
After that role, I spent several years as a freelance paralegal, supporting solo practitioners across the DMV area as they built and refined their practices. That work gave me firsthand insight into what makes a law firm both efficient and client-centered, which I now carry into my own practice.
I later earned my law degree from Howard University School of Law, where I took every tax course available to deepen my understanding of how legal and financial planning intersect—especially when it comes to preserving generational wealth for businesses.
This work is deeply personal to me. I believe that legacy isn’t just about assets—it’s about honoring loved ones, preserving dignity, and creating peace of mind. I’m especially passionate about supporting entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and business owners as they navigate complex transitions and protect the legacies they’ve worked so hard to build.
Specialties: Estate planning, probate law, small business law
Fun Fact: I’m always tinkering with technology—I have built multiple computers and I obsessively read about the latest in consumer technology.
